Dr. Jim Henry is one of the most respected Christian leaders of our day. He is the author of Deacons Partners in Ministry and Growth. His deep understanding of the needs within the church come from intense experience. After serving two terms as President of the Southern Baptist Convention and retiring after 28 years as Senior Pastor of FBC Orlando, he has redeployed with a passion to develop chosen men into exceptional deacons. He and I will pour our experience into your team.
Diana Davis has authored many books, including Deacons Wives, Fresh Ideas to Encourage Your Husband and the Church. She is an engagingly vibrant lady who will help our wives become the encouraging godly examples our men and the church desperately need. Her knowledge is extremely practical. She is a pastor’s wife who sees the need for women of valor to help their husbands. Johnny Hunt said “…our wives make us or break us. If a deacon has a wife with a positive witness and a servant’s heart serving alongside him, he will be blessed indeed.”
And just for fun, we have Aaron Wilburn. He is the hilarious comedian from the Bill Gaither videos who has been seen millions of times on YouTube. He will lighten both of our days with wonderful, clean Christian laughter. What a great time for a break, fun and fellowship!
